Infinite Crisis: Social Experiment Success!

Thank you to all my friends who participated and grinded out those first 10 levels of Infinite Crisis! I hope you all have fun and continue to doing so. 31 converted is more than enough haha. Got my Sushi Chef Gaslight Joker skin and the last tier of the Exclusive Protector Icon. Also many merits and coins :D

And there's always room to add more friends to a game I enjoy playing ;D

Game Night With Friends

Game Night With Friends!

Well every night is game night, but all my friends play different games so it's rare when we all play together. Tonight I played a little bit of everything with my friends.Only game I didn't get a screencap of was League of Legends.

Infinite Crisis: Showed off my Gaslight Catwoman prowess and carried the team to victories.
StarCraft II: LOTR's Helm's Deep reenactment game on the free arcade.
Guild Wars 2: Played with my nonsense dual pistol/bow Thief build.

Good times indeed :D

StarCraft II Arcade Free!

StarCraft II Arcade Free!

Recently, Blizzard made the StarCraft II Arcade Free for everyone! It's a must download with all the custom maps and games available. And yes, you do not have to own (as in buy) StarCraft II to play. You do need to download the game though. Even as a free download, you can actually play the first 5 campaign missions free and opt to buy the rest of the game if you desire too.

My Battle tag is: SoulStep#1586

Join in and play free today!

Infinite Crisis: Star Sapphire

Infinite Crisis: Star Sapphire

I picked up Star Sapphire because she was on sale (50% off is pretty good), she's a Blaster type champ (AP champ on League of Legends equivalent) which I am totally good at, and I wanted her stolen power which I will with Gaslight Catwoman.

Forgot to tell the other team before the match that I'm pretty beast with her hahaha. Yay for a perfect game :D

Enlightened Resistance of Tyria

Enlightened Resistance of Tyria

I've retired my old Guild Wars 2 build site, Tales of the Mists and am created a new one with the new trait system and rune and sigil reworks. It's called Enlightened Resistance of Tyria! Go check it out :D

I'm Back!!!

I'm Back!!!

Well after quite a long hiatus, I'm back to using this blog! Casually though as I'm busy with other projects; gaming and what not. Probably concentrate on the games I play with personal ingame stuff, achievements, adventures, triumphs and the game updates themselves.

So here's to new fun times!

Korea's Fair Trade Commission Raids Blizzard's Offices

The tricky thing about company policy is that it has to be fair, valid and withheld within the countries they are operating in.

A reader has posted this:
"Korean Law gives them 7 days to return any software product if there is a problem with it and the problem is not the end user's fault. That's the main issue."

The problem is indeed Blizzard's fault as they have not prepared for the titanic of players trying to log in and play the game. Seeing South Korea as one Blizzard's main flagship countries, I'm not surprised by all the complaints of the Error 37 fiasco.

Playing Diablo III myself, I believe Blizzard were lazy about a lot of things in the development and release of the game. Shame really.

Champion Sneak Peek - Darius, the Hand of Noxus

If you’ve ever been frustrated by your progress in a given position, you might want to look to Darius, the Hand of Noxus, for inspiration. In order to secure his own advancement, this determined champion has repeatedly employed the foolproof method of lopping his boss’ head off. So whether you believe that the road to power is paved with the headless bodies of your enemies, or you simply think that a good beheading is a rather expedient method of dealing with red tape, we think you’ll agree that Darius makes a fine addition to the League of Legends.

Massivity: Will 2012's Big MMOs Hit or Miss? Prediction Time!

For full article read here

"We're still a few months from finding out if 2012 will mark the end of the world, but five months in, I think it's safe to say that this year at least marks a new beginning for the MMORPG genre. For the first time in years, developers are producing games that seem like something other than World of Warcraft or EverQuest clones. TERA, Guild Wars 2, and The Secret World all have ideas within them that warrant some attention, and even Blizzard's mixing things up a little with Mists of Pandaria. All in all, it's a good year to be an MMO fan. But will these new games still be standing as tall this time next year? I'm no Mayan, but here are my predictions for how each of these games will perform in the coming months..."

Guild Wars 2 Database

For future reference, Guild Wars 2 Database is live.

Guild Wars 2 Builds - Thief: Miss Fortune Shock and Awe Range Build

This is a fun build for PVP/PVE. It's in honor for one of my favorite League of Legends Champions, Miss Fortune. As melee thieves deal massive damage, I believe a ranged thief can still hit as hard. Main weapons of course are Dual Pistols (Shock and Awe hehe) and Short Bow to spam the AOE conditions.

League of Legends: Spectator Mode Patch Notes

For full patch notes, read here: Spectator Mode Patch Notes

For League of Legends patch notes, I'll just highlight the ones I'm most interested and ones that will effect my game play the most (e.g. changes in Champions I frequently play, changes/additions to in game items/runes/masteries).

"Spectator Mode!
  • Spectate your Friends
    • Added the ability to spectate games that friends are playing by right clicking their name in the buddy list
    • Easily identify friends you can spectate by the eye icon near their name
  • Featured Games
    • The landing page will now host featured games that anyone can spectate
    • Click the 'Watch Now' icon to view some of the most skilled players in League of Legends!
    • Games cycle at regular intervals so be sure to check back often
  • Directed Camera
    • Implemented a directed camera mode that will automatically follow the action in game!
    • The camera will seamlessly jump between champion fights and other critical moments
    • Interesting events like Champion kills will be prioritized
    • When multiple Champions are on the screen, the camera will automatically adjust to include them
  • Timeshift Controls
    • Spectators can now jump around the timeline of a live game to watch past events!
    • Replay events in slow motion to review action-filled moments
    • Spectators can now actively fast forward through the game
  • Spectator announcer coverage will now report more events
  • Updated spectator UI elements to respect colorblind mode"
Finally out. There are times where I just want to watch games, and more specifically certain times of the game. Saved streamed games were useful, but having all the real time in game info just makes it more better.

"Lulu
  • Glitterlance
    • Ability power ratio reduced to 0.6 from 0.7
    • Mana cost increased at later ranks to 40/50/60/70/80 from 40/45/50/55/60"
An ouch on the harass :X

"Leona
  • Now gains 1.25 Magic Resist per level
Taric
  • Now gains 1.25 Magic Resist per level"
Yes some beefiness for the Off-tanks/supports

"Miss Fortune
  • Bullet Time now deals physical damage
  • Double Up secondary target damage increased to 120% from 115%"
Always appreciate the MF buffs :D

"General
  • Turret base damage decreased but armor penetration and damage to minions increased
  • Improved particle scaling on larger characters like Dragon and Baron
  • Champion skin names will now be displayed on the load screen
  • New option added: Show All Chat
    • Cross-team chat in all games is now hidden by default
    • Cross-team chat in spectated games will also be hidden by default
    • If you enjoy competitive banter, opt-in using the new toggle in the 'More Options' menu!
  • Fixed a crash that would occur when attempting to maximize the window while loading into the game
  • Selected unit outlines are now improved to be less pixelated
  • "Surrender Vote Failed" message no longer appears to the enemy team
  • Announcements will now take up the same proportional amount of screen space regardless of the display resolution. The net result is a smaller size at smaller resolutions
Items
  • Deathfire Grasp
    • Now builds out of Blasting Wand and Kage's Lucky Pick (total cost reduced to 2600 from 2610)
    • Now grants 80 Ability Power and 15% Cooldown Reduction, from 60 Ability Power, 12 MP5, and 15% Cooldown Reduction (No more 12 MP5? ouch)
    • Increased cast range to 750 from 650
    • Active base damage changed to 25% +4% per 100 AP of the target's current Health from 30% + 3.5% (Interesting change)
  • Fiendish Codex cost reduced to 1125 from 1245 (Yes)
  • Morello's Evil Tome
    • Now builds out of Fiendish Codex and Kage's Lucky Pick (total cost reduced to 2330 from 2350) (Yes, Kage Pick, makes it a good choice to get now when playing bottom lane support)
    • Now has Grievous Wounds active (I like this)
  • Sunfire Cape aura damage increased to 40 from 35 (Not too bad)
  • Will of the Ancients
    • Now builds out of Blasting Wand and Hextech Revolver
    • Total cost increased to 2500 from 2100, combine cost reduced to 440 from 465 (Makes this more of a Mid-Late game item now)"
